Parade of Lights

About

The 6th Annual “Parade of Lights” will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 6 p.m. The parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park and ends at City Hall, where the tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show will take place.

This years theme is "A Star Spangled Christmas".  The parade Grand Marshal is Mr. Bob Simon, a local U.S. Army Veteran and member of Box 100.

All parade participants are being asked to decorate their cars, floats, or signs with lights for the event which will take place after dark. In addition, no candy will be distributed along the parade route for safety reasons but treats will be available at City Hall after the parade.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served while the La Vergne High School Choraliers traditionally perform holiday songs.  Rumor has it that Santa and Mrs. Clause may stop by for a visit as well.

To participate in the parade, the application must be received by December 1st.
