The Public Works is headed by
Greg Skinner.
The Public Works Department is responsible for ensuring that
the City’s infrastructure – streets, water and sewer lines –
are installed, maintained and repaired as needed. In addition
to the Street, Water and Sewer areas, there is the
City Mapping and Fleet Management areas.
Director –
Greg Skinner (email: gskinner@lavergnetn.gov) is the director
of Public Works for the city. He is responsible for the city’s
infrastructure, including installation, maintenance and
repair of streets, water and sewer lines. In addition, Skinner
will supervise the city mapping needs and fleet management.
Street Department —
Garlon Russell (email: grussell@lavergnetn.gov) is the Street
Department Supervisor. The division is responsible for
maintaining and repairing any City-accepted streets.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Water Department —
Robert Brooks (email: rbrooks@lavergnetn.gov) is the Water
Department Supervisor. This division is responsible for
maintaining and repairing City water lines. Work
hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Sewer Department -
Jerry Zemlo (email: jzemlo@lavergnetn.gov) is the Sewer
Department Supervisor. This division is responsible for
maintaining and repairing any City sewer lines. Work hours
are Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Mapping Coordinator -
The Mapping Coordinator for the Public Works department
is Jim Owens (email: jowens@lavergnetn.gov) . The Mapping
Coordinator maps the sewer lines within the city of La Vergne.
Fleet Management -
Work hours are Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Coordinator —
Kitty Walker (email: kwalker@lavergnetn.gov) is the Public
Works Coordinator. In addition to answering phones, she does
the following for the Public Works Department: issues work
orders for streets, water and sewer departments and takes
complaints concerning city streets, plus on other public
works-related issues. She also answers a variety of questions
and assists in the flow of communication between citizens
and the Department. Work hours are Monday through Friday
7:30am to 4:00pm.
The Public Works Department is located at 148 International
Blvd. Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm.
