The La Vergne Parks and Recreation Department offers programs throughout the year for citizens of all ages. In addition to activities sponsored by the Department, recreation programs also include pee wee and little league baseball; youth football; and in-line hockey. Those leagues are self-contained but work in partnership with the Department.

La Vergne Youth Baseball and Softball League

Tennessee Strikers Opens in new windowMost teams practice 2 - 3 times per week. Players between 3 and 16 years old have the opportunity to practice in baseball and softball in a variety of levels. Available programs include baseball and softball 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, as well as softball 14U and 16U. Registration is $40 for any level. Registration includes a shirt, hat, pants and belt for each player. Registration is open to anyone wanting to participate in the ball league.

    Parade of Lights Lineup for the Parade of Lights is at 4:00 p.m. at La Vergne City Hall. The parade begins at City Hall and ends at Veterans Memorial Park, where the tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show will take place. The festival will include ice skating, Christmas Carols, pictures with Santa, snacks, craft vendors & more.
