Parade of Lights

The 10th annual “Parade of Lights” will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 6 p.m. The parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park and ends at City Hall, where the tree lighting ceremony and a fireworks show will take place.

This year's theme is a "Blue Christmas" and the Grand Marshal is former police chief Mike Walker.

All parade participants are being asked to decorate their cars, floats, or signs with lights for the event which will take place after dark. In addition, no candy or other handouts will be distributed along the parade route for safety reasons but treats will be available at City Hall after the parade.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served while the La Vergne High School Choraliers traditionally perform holiday songs and B&B Family Fireworks is hosting a free fireworks show for the community.

Rumor has it that Santa and Mrs. Claus may stop by for a visit to hear what kids want for Christmas and to take free photos with families in a way that will practice social distancing.

To participate in the parade, the application must be received by December 3rd at 4:30 PM.
