Calling all ghouls, ghosts and goblins! The 8th Annual Trail of Treats will be back once again to help kids kick off the Halloween season.
Thousands of children are expected to follow a candy trail on October 27th from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park in La Vergne. The annual “Trail of Treats” is free and includes a hayride, games, and a hike along the trail to “trick or treat” from local organizations and businesses.
New this year, the La Vergne Public Library will be hosting a special spooky story time near the exercise equipment at 1:30 p.m. before the official opening of the Trail of Treats.
Local businesses and organizations that sign up to participate in the program decorate their booths with a family-friendly Halloween theme. They hand out everything from candy to goo-goo clusters and often have games set up for children to play. The entire event is free to the public.
Local businesses are still able to sign up. A link to the registration is available online: https://www.lavergnetn.gov/238/Trail-of-Treats
