The La Vergne Police and Fire Departments are once again hosting the “Live 4 Tay 5K” – this year’s race will take place on Friday, September 2 at Veteran's Memorial Park. Registration begins at 6:00 PM, with the 5K starting at 7:00 PM. Pre-register for $15 or arrive the day of and sign up for $20.
The 5K kicks off a weekend filled with events! The Play 4 Tay Benefit Softball Tournament will be held over the Labor Day weekend, starting Saturday Sept 3 and continuing through Sept 5. Teams across the state will participate in a friendly competition to raise awareness for childhood cancer.
Proceeds benefit the Live 4 Tay Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, which provides financial assistance grants to help families who have children with cancer. More information can be found at www.live4tay.org. Veteran's Memorial Park is located at 115 Floyd Mayfield Drive, La Vergne, TN 37086.
