In August, La Vergne City Officials and the Parks and Recreation staff met with neighboring cities to research plans for a potential splash pad.
The splash pad would be installed at Veterans Memorial Park, and would also include a pavilion featuring family bathrooms, along with a changing area and several interactive features. Renderings and potential plans for the project will be presented at an upcoming Board of Mayor and Alderman Workshop.
The city is working to acquire grants and sponsors to help fund the installation-- if approved, the goal is to move forward on the project by the end of the year.
