Channel 3 will go offline on October 2nd around 7:00 a.m. It is not expected to be back online until October 15th at the earliest. Videos of meetings will still be posted in a timely manner to the City of La Vergne’s YouTube page in the interim.
Unfortunately, the video recording system crashed several months ago as preparations for the studio upgrade were being finalized. There was no way to get the system to be operational again.
The last upgrade for the Channel 3 studio was completed in 2009. The new upgrades will bring several much needed improvements, including Closed Captioning, High Definition, and the ability to live stream meetings to various social media sites. Channel 3 is accessible on Comcast (channel 3), AT&T (channel 99) and will be available on TDS after the upgrades are completed.
Job openings, city events, city council meetings, and general information pertaining to the city can be viewed 24 hours a day. The programming airs on Comcast Channel 3 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99 in La Vergne.
