Battalion Chief Marcus Harney has been in the fire service for 22 years, serving with the La Vergne Fire Rescue Department for 10 of those years. Harney started with LFRD when it was still a private entity in 2012 as a firefighter. He quickly became a training officer for A-Shift while the department and eventually became a captain in 2014. Harney is now the Battalion Chief on A-Shift and holds the credentials as a Fire Officer IV and holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Science.
